Travel is my first love, whether for work or pleasure. To be paid to travel to some of the world’s most exciting spots is a real privilege, but sometimes exhausting - I have been to Australia twice in a week, but that’s preferable to a desk job any day in my view.

Taking photographs outdoors is always going to be at the mercy of the constantly unpredictable weather. I should know; last year I had to spend an extra three weeks on a shoot in New Zealand because it just wouldn’t stop raining, & this was in high summer!

I was hoping to work on every continent in one year, but sadly I haven’t made it to Antarctica this year, but hopefully I’ll get that ambition conquered in 2009.
